OTHER SERVICES:

IEP Assistance: Many of our clients receive speech therapy at their schools.  We collaborate with parents and the SLP at the school, thus further fostering consistency and carryover of all therapeutic strategies.

Technology Oriented Programs: Our clients LOVE the iPad!!!  What a perfect tool for so many of our clients.

Social Communication Groups: Our social communication groups are run by an occupational therapist and a speech-language pathologist emphasizing each client’s social communication goals (initiating, joining in, asking questions, commenting, etc.) while maintaining a safe and fun environment.

School Observations: It may be necessary to observe children in settings other than the ones in which we work with them

Home/School/Community Consultation/Therapy: This is listed as a separate service, although it is an integral piece of our ongoing treatment approach

Collaboration with Entire Team: This is listed as a separate service, although it is an integral piece of our ongoing treatment approach

Cross-Training: We use a holistic approach incorporating other disciplines’ goals like encouraging reaching, crossing midline, balancing, etc.

Bullying: We foster self-confidence and provide a variety of scripts/scenarios/role-playing opportunities.  We also encourage neighboring students to be our helpers/buddies.

Lending Library: Educating our families and arming them with all of the information they need to benefit our clients is an important value of our practice.

Support Groups: We have employed a therapist to provide support to our families in either individual or group settings.  We also encourage our clients to share information as we know that an educated family is our best client.

Parent and Family Education: This is listed as a separate service, although it is an integral piece of our ongoing treatment approach

Professional Speaking Engagements/Trainings/Seminars: Susan Paul welcomes opportunities to teach the “tricks of our trade” to small groups or large audiences whether they be laypeople or other professionals.

Co-Treatment with Occupational Therapist (on-site): Many of our clients require the expertise of an Occupational Therapist who specializes in sensory integration techniques.  We share space and equipment with T.O.T.A.L.Y Sense-Sational, a group O.T. practice located in our Plymouth Meeting office.  There are times when co-treatment would be more beneficial to a particular client to foster increased attention, increased verbal output and/or improved cognitive and physical organization.
